What are flower essences, anyway?

September 21, 2016 in historical

Similar to homeopathic remedies, flower essences work on the energetic level to assist us in addressing anything from acute physical injury to past trauma to reawakening dormant parts of ourselves (creativity, dreaming, sexuality, etc).  These formulas are made with flower blossoms, which are harvested at their prime and, frequently, in their native habitat. The flowers are placed in fresh water and exposed to sunlight or moonlight, during which time the energetic signature, or the vibrational quality of the flower infuses the water. The essences themselves contain no physical plant matter but rather carry the energetic imprint of the flower.

Flower essences have been scientifically studied for the last hundred years in Europe and North America and are being used by practitioners from Haiti to Cambodia to Hong Kong to here in the States with incredible, well documented success. Additionally, flowers have been used as medicine in indigenous cultures for thousands of years. In particular, the Cherokee and the Australian Aboriginals have been documented as creating medicines from the dew on flowers.

What is the best number to reach you?

Thank you for reaching out to me. I'll be in touch with you shortly. In the meantime, here is a short poem that I hope will provide you with a little something wonderful.

come new to this
day.  remove the rigid
overcoat of experience,
the notion of knowing,
the beliefs that cloud
your vision.

leave behind the stories
of your life.  spit out the
sour taste of unmet expectation.
let the stale scent of what-ifs
waft back into the swamp
of your useless fears.

arrive curious, without the armor
of certainty, the plans and planned
results of the life you've imagined.
live the life that chooses you, new
every breath, every blink of
your astonished eyes.
